The Huawei P40 Pro Review/Cover By Ameer Hamza
Welcome to another article I wanted to follow up on my P 40 pro on boxing. You should check it out up here. This is it. P 40 pro. I’ve finally set it up.
It’s in the case came in the box. But I’m really here to show you 2 things that I think are really interesting. The first thing is the bad news and the bad news is that the E.M.S. hack doesn’t work. So I used Elzy play to set this up.
And you can see, the play store is here. But when I try to sign in.
I get this error that the device isn’t placed certified. This is something I didn’t get with he made 30 pros and I set it up either with the Honor V30 or the honor nine X pro. So this is a new thing and fact. You also get this notification here.
Google Play Services requires an action. And if I tap on it, it tells me it’s not play certified. I can certify it if the bootloader is unlocked.
And following this, unfortunately, the bootloader is not unlocked.
And I don’t know if there’s a way to do that. So there will probably be a newly updated hack to get Jemez enabled again on this phone. At least, I hope. But there is good news. And the good news is what you see up here.
Pay close attention to the status bar right there. As you can see, I am on AT&T 5G.
That is right. You’re reading this correctly. This phone unlocked Chinese phone supports AT&T, 5G, low band, 850 megahertz band N 5. Here in the U.S., I don’t have a lot of signals here, but it’s working.
So I did install the Aurora store since I can’t re-enable JMS. And with the Aurora store, I was able to install, of course, anything that’s in the Google Play store.
If you don’t know this trick Ristau is an anonymous Google Play store equivalent. It connects to the Google servers and gets the apps from there.
So I installed a speed test. You can see it here. And let’s try to run this. As you can see, this notification keeps popping up because the Jemez hack hasn’t worked. So let’s do a speed test real quick and see what we get. So it’s not very spectacular.
I’ve got like three out of 5 bars right now, but, you know, there it is.
I’m unfortunately not in an area, 4 or 5 Geon, AT&T, low band. So I can’t test this further.
Obviously, you know, everybody stays at home right now with the coronavirus. But the reality is this phone is compatible with AT&T 5 Geno Band. And that’s pretty exciting. Also, I’ve got a bunch of other phones that work with this SIM card.
I’ve got the LGB 60 and the Samsung Galaxy s 25 G and I’m not getting really that much better performance off the network.
So this tells me really that it’s just a low signal area. And yeah, again, you know, 5 G on the low band is really about network reach and about providing connectivity in places where LTE was not working well.
So they’re delivering on that for sure. AT&T 5G works on low band and Jemez is not working right now.
The existing Elzy play doesn’t work. And tried the other hacks, but I don’t think it’s going to work. They’ve changed something here with EMI 10.1. Or maybe Google is checking more rigorously now.
But the reality is somebody will make this work because this phone in terms of hardware is a beast and I can’t wait to use it with Google services.
