The Google Pixel 4a Unboxing/Cover By Ameer Hamza
Welcome to Another Day, another unboxing. Yes, this is the Google pixel for a just landed and I thought I’d do an unboxing for you. So that’s what the box looks like.
There’s a Google over here, another Google over here.
Here is a side of the phone. Nothing too much in the bag. Hashtag team pixel. There’s some I’m is down here. Pretty much what you’d expect. So let’s start peeling things off, shall we?
And now what you’ve been waiting for, what we’ve all been waiting for since the leak started in February. Now. Don’t turn it on to the.
I like the little insert in here. Here’s the phone. Let’s put it aside from have a look at the rest of the box for a second. Here’s a divider. Here’s the documentation. We’ve got probably the usual stuff. Safety warranty, same removal tool.
And the manual, a very simple manual tells you everything you need to know right here.
And in Spanish. All right. You’ve got an 18-watt charger, USP type C. Here’s all the specs for you. Not sure you can read that. Then we have a cord. You, SBC to you, SBC. standard fare.
And then we have a 2 C adapter, which I’m not going to plug because apparently it’s trapped in there.
This is for connecting a type A cord-like from an iPhone to the type C, so you can transfer all your stuff if you’re switching from another phone. You don’t want to do it wirelessly.
So there you go. standard fare for a pixel phone. Here is the phone. Yes. Let’s remove this packaging. Woo! That said, they didn’t protect the back at all. So let’s turn it on and let me walk you through some of the specs.
As you can clearly immediately see, this is an improvement in terms of modern design and modern look and feel versus last year’s Pixel 3A, because you have a 5.8 inch, ten ATP annual ed 60 hertz display with a hole punch camera cut out.
So very few bezels overall. It’s the same like the iPhone you love and you get to take equal amounts of bezzle a little more for the bottom years.
You know, because of the chin, unfortunate Soha androids, phone manufacturers still haven’t mastered a way to do this, you know, of making it equal size all the way around. Apple has.
We’re not sure why it’s taking Android manufacturers so long. This is pretty.
And there is your startup screen. So, again, this is just an unboxing. I’m not here to set up the phone. You should stay tuned. I will have a full review of the hard hardware. And of course, I’ll have lots of photos and samples and all that.
And if you tuning in right now to this article this week, later I will have a full review of this on my podcast, Hupmobile mobile tech podcast, dot com.
So what do you get besides this display? This camera appears as an 8 megapixel F over 2 point O 1.1, 2-micron front-facing camera.
Nothing to write home about, but it’s fine. Then there is a display under the hood is a Snapdragon 730 G. This is an improvement over the Snapdragon 670 that was in pixel three. There are 6 gigs around and 120 gigs of storage.
That’s not bad. That’s more than pixel three was. So. Never mind the 3 way.
So that’s an improvement. I think that’s going to help a lot. Then there is a 30, 140 mainly amp our battery and this thing.
So that’s what it looks like in the back under there is the battery. There’s no wireless charging coil. This is a plastic unibody finish. It is black. That’s the only color you get a choice from. There’s a fingerprint sensor in the back.
And I can immediately tell this doesn’t seem or feel quite premium as the plastic unibody in the 3A. Don’t get me wrong.
It’s nice. But the 3 really felt like it was just a super high-quality pretty machine. POLYCARP Where I think this feels like it’s molded to me.
You know, it’s got this nice little soft touch finished makes it easier to hold.
I mean, that’s all welcome, it doesn’t feel quite fancy a three ated somehow. And of course, not nearly fancy the more expensive pixels that are glass and metal. Google logo here.
And then there’s a camera iPod. It is only a single camera in here.
It’s the same 12 megapixels we’ve seen on the 4, 3, and 3. As I said, it’s a 12 megapixel F over 1.7, 1.4 micron with OS. That’s pretty awesome. They kept the AYSO on this.
I’ve got a flash here and that’s pretty much it for the back. And we want to see the edges on the right-hand side here.
You’ve got the power locking this nice teal, green, bluish color, very cool, very Google. You’ve got the volume rocker well. And below here on the bottom, you’ve got the USB type C port speaker and microphone.
There’s a mono speaker here, but it’s the right channel.
There’s another mono speaker in the earpiece up here. That’s the left channel. So that makes its 2 speakers, which is really cool.
I don’t think we’ve seen that on a cheap phone. And up on the left hand side, you really don’t have anything other than the SIM tray here. There’s no micro SD expansion and but the exciting uses on top, you still have the headphone jack from the three, a secondary microphone.
So that’s it. That’s the layout for this pixel for a. It’s a small phone tree.
Feels nice in hand. It’s about the same footprint as the iPhone. Essy 20 twenty. So yeah, it’s pretty cool, I think.
I’m looking forward to this upgraded processor upgrading RAM, accreting storage upgrade, upgrading display, all for the 50$ less than last year’s 3. That’s exciting. Of course, same great camera, same great software, seen great.
Google features all the stuff you expect. So folks say that’s a quick unboxing of the pixel for a C to not have more content. As I said, my review should be on hot hardware later this week.
And then, of course, the podcast will cover this extensively this week.
