The Moto G Stylus & The Mid-Range/Cover By Ameer Hamza
Hey, to another day, another unboxing I’ve got here, the Moto G power and the Muji styluses.
Very, very similar phones going to unbox them together. Check it out. I’ll be up here.
I was a bit of a rush at the time in Chicago when I did it.
So this is the mid-range kind of reference, basically the G series from Moto every year. Kind of really sets the standard for what a mid-range phone should be with, you know, nice clean software that’s very similar to pure Android, really good features, good pricing.
And yes, I wanted to walk you through this a little bit. So you got a bit of an idea of what to expect with these 2 phones and mostly what the differences are between them.
So that’s the boxes. As you can see, they’re very similar.
They say more on science like this. There’s some I mean, stickers on the bottom edges. here is what it says in the back. So the takeaway between these 2, the big difference is that they’re very similar, except for the battery.
The power is an emphasis on long battery life. And of course, the stylus has a stylus very much as a cheap person’s note.
Right. So here we go on to add onto that arm. This is parallel to boxing. I don’t think I’ve done this before. So here are the phones. Pull them out separately. And we’ve got the same presentation here with a divider here, Al divider there. inside of it is documentation.
So let’s have a quick look at that. I’m not going to go through the details, but you get the idea.
SIM removal tool. Read me. And safety regulations. And again. Same here. We’ve got the read me some removal tool and safety and.
Not sure what Sophia Plus’s, but, hey, we get Sophia. Plus, I’m not sure what that means. All right, so now and the rest of the box are 2 chargers. They look identical. Not sure what the specs are on these, but all I know is that the phones are 10 watts compatible.
So these are probably 10. Why chargers? I’ll put it in right here to let you know what it is.
USP Type-A. It doesn’t say Turbo Power anywhere, which is unusual. So they’re probably not fast chargers. I mean, 10 watts is OK. I guess it’s not 5 watts, but it’s nothing to write home about. Then we’ve got U.S. cables.
These are the same U.S. type and one in type C on the other. Right. A and C, C. A and C. Yeah. All right. That’s exciting. OK.
So that’s it for the boxes. Let’s have a look at the phones now showing. So I have to remove and peel this.
War. That’s one. And in case you’re wondering what all dust is. These two boxes were packaged in this recycled paper. Confetti, and it went everywhere. So that’s what you’re seeing here. You’re seeing the results of the confetti entering these boxes, which weren’t sealed, I guess. So that’s it.
Again, don’t mind the dust. As you can see from the front, you really wouldn’t be able to tell them apart.
And the same story in the back, other than different colors here, you wouldn’t really be able to tell them apart. You might be able to notice if you see that the flash is your offset, but flashes down here on this 1. So, again, the 1 on the left is the power and the one on the right is the stylus in this beautiful blue color, all them to your little closer.
So that’s what the. Power looks like. And that. That is what the stylus looks like. Let’s start them up together.
So the first thing you’ll notice about them, it identical with both is 6.4 inch I. P. S, I was quite the vibration, 6.4-inch eyepiece panel, ten ADP and the fingerprint sensors on the back of the phone because of that.
But there is a hole punch camera, which is pretty cool and it’s a 16 megapixel. Oh, I know.
And it’s a 16 megapixel F or a 2.0 one micron pixel camera. Inside is a Snapdragon 665.
And both of these. They both have 4 gigs of RAM. Now 1 of the differences in the storage. Right. The power has 64 gigs. The styluses. 120 gigs of storage. Both of them support micro SD expansion, which is nice.
Anyway, so that’s that’s it for the front. That’s the details. You can see your pieces up here and the cameras.
Now let’s talk about the back. inside the power is a 5000 dollar Ampol battery because this thing is supposed to last. It’s a little thicker because of it. You can tell by the camera indent it’s a little thinner. On this one. And it is on that one.
See, it sticks on 1 more 4000 really amp-hour here on the stylus.
And that’s basically the differences other than the battery and the amount of storage. These are pretty identical now. Cameras are slightly different in the back.
And that’s something I want to talk about. So the 1 for the camera you want is the stylus. Let’s walk through this real quick. The G power has three cameras. It has a 16 megapixel F 1.7 camera noise for the main.
Which is probably this big 1 up here. I’m completely guessing 8 megapixel F over 2.2 ultra-wide with 1.12-micron pixels and a 2-megapixel micro camera with 1.75 microns in an F-stop.
2.2 Now, the stylus here has 3 cameras.
So it has a 48-megapixel sensor F 1.7 with laser autofocus and its point 8 microns.
So it pixel bings force pixels into 1 to create 1.6-micron pixels and an effective resolution of 12 megapixels has a 16-megapixel effort with 2.2 ultra-wide. So a slightly better resolution than the 8 on the power.
And then the same 2 megapixels macro with 1.75-micron pixels and F over 2.2.
And so you can see them a little closer up now in The Shot. Hope that tells you a little more about them.
And that is the GS stylus on the right and the G power on the left. And I wouldn’t be remiss if I didn’t show you the actual stylus, which is hidden in a silo right over here. So there it is.
Here is the stylus. Oh, yeah. Well, metal stylus with a capacitive nubbin in the back. Right. So don’t get too excited. We’re not talking about an active stylus like a weekend thing like we see on, you know, the note. This is just a pretty simple nubbin, basically capacitive nubbin. And it’s kind of in this little silo.
And that Faulkes is basically the only big difference other than the battery storage and camera system on these 2 phones.
I think there’s a slight difference in price. I’ll put exact pricing up here and that’s it.
The Moto G series for 2020. Notice they no longer call them the G8 or the G7 or the G 6 whatever. Last year was seven. It would be eight. This year they’re just going G series this year.
